2004 Season
Captain: S.Ray
Vice Captain: R.Woolhouse
A short but decent
season. We played 6, won
4, lost 2. Notable victories were against Gardeners
away and Corona twice, though we suffered a heavy defeat to
LBS at home.
Rich Woolhouse scored the most runs (210) for the third
consecutive season, and inspired bowling from David Proctor
saw him secure the
most wickets (11). Other notable performances involved Mark
Mellor (130*) and Jon Gower (102*) piling on a record 3rd
wicket partnership of 234*, Simon Ray's consistent
run-scoring and Dave Gower's' key brace of fifties against
Corona to end the season in style.
