A brilliant batsman and a sharp, potent bowler, ‘Marty’ made a big impact over only two seasons. In particular, he was very quick to pull or hook anything remotely short over square leg, and with ball in hand he specialised in the three-card trick [Bouncer, bouncer, yorker]. He has since returned to Australia. We miss him. |
