2025 fixtures

Captain: Ben Hartridge

Vice Captain: Joe Rahman

A fantastic season: Won 22, Tied 1, Lost 5. Aside from achieving the most wins ever in a Strongroom season, it was an immensely enjoyable spring, summer, and autumn, across all dimensions of cricket and life. We had good representation of players throughout, including some notable newbies (Jas, Crofty), returnees (Marty, after 14 years down under; DG, after two years paternity leave), and of course, our perennial stalwarts Guy, (40 years service) and Mario (still doing a job, into his mid-60s).

Highlights
A ruthless demolition job of Gaieties, which, after 15 years of pain (albeit with the exception of a singular T20 win, which never satisfied the purists), had been brewing for over a decade; a dramatic last-ball tie with Jesmond Jaguars, featuring a 4-wicket blitz from Marty Newkirk (who else) in an epic final over; a wonderful Devon tour took place in June, blessed with solstice sunshine and coastal dips; and three wins over North London rivals Pacific. The key to our success were runs and wickets aplenty - with runs in particular flying off the bats of Rashid, Marty, Siddall, Ankit, and Vinay, and much-treasured centuries were notched up by David Siddall, Ajay, Marty, and Rashid (x 2). A cascade of wickets came via the bowling skills of Riaz, Joe, and Marty.

Lowlights
Thankfully, these were few and far between, with our only disappointing performances coming against Barnes Common, Brockley, and Jesmond Jaguars.
